- What is a closed terrarium?
It is a collection of plants in a sealable transparent container. It functions as a mini-ecosystem. The elements between the walls create perfect harmony. Letting the terrarium be self-sufficient. As in their natural habitat, the living beings of the terrarium won't need humans to survive.
Showing how wonderful nature is! These replications of the natural world will help you and your loved ones to increase awareness of health and well-being.
- If the terrarium doesn't need to be watered, how does it work?
Water within the terrarium sustains the plants by creating a miniature water cycle. Both, the plants and the soil, release moisture and water vapour. This condenses against the walls of the terrarium and falls back into the soil to be used again and again.
- How long does a terrarium last?
Under the right conditions and the perfect balance, the terrarium will thrive indefinitely. The longest known terrarium is being alive for 53 years. They may even outlast you!
- How much light do terrariums need?
The terrariums need partial light. Do not place it when the sunlight is direct. That will increase the temperature too much. It will unbalance the harmony between the terrarium elements.
- What to do if the leaves of your plant are falling off?
To be able to stay healthy, shedding leaves is a way of balancing nutrients. As long, as new leaves are sprouting, the plant should be fine. It just needs a bit of time to settle itself down again.
If your plants and moss are getting dry, uncover it, and added a few drops of water (no more than 4), depending on how dry it is. Put the lid back. Change the bottle to a brighter and fresher place. Carefully, you could remove the dry leaves, with tweezers.
Also, if your plant is overgrown, you could trim and rune them. Following the same procedure as watering them.

- There is mould inside, what should you do?
Mould means your terrarium is overwatered and the temperature inside is too high. You should uncover the terrarium for it to dry out a bit. One day or two should be fine. Change the terrarium to a fresher place. Make sure the sunlight that reaches the terrarium is indirect.
- Can you leave your terrarium open?
Yes, you can. However, it will dry out quickly. Closed terrariums have been designed to recreate their natural habitat and to have their own water cycle. If you cant to keep it open, you will need to water it frequently and monitor it, as the conditions will change drastically.
